

The ranch quickly grew to national prominence in the Angus breed. In 1975 the McMahons established Belle Point Ranch in Lavaca as a second family business. Although David grew up showing gaited horses, he discovered a passion for purebred cattle in his college years. He was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army and earned the rank of Captain. While in college, David was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity and served in the Army ROTC program. In 1953, he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture, majoring in Animal Husbandry. David was educated at Immaculate Conception School, Fort Smith Public Schools, and Oklahoma A&M College in Stillwater. Ten years later, his father began distributing Anheuser-Busch products. In 1936, David's parents and their three sons returned to Fort Smith where his father was engaged in a wholesale grocery business. The McMahons wish to recognize and thank so many loyal employees and business associates - present and past - who were truly family to David.

His brother, Jim McMahon lives in Fort Gibson, Okla. His 11 grandchildren are: Matt Holland and wife Marie, Aaron McMahon, Andrew Holland, Kerri McMahon, Allyson McGuire, Claire Taylor, Kimberly McGuire, Audrey Taylor, Christine Taylor, Timothy McGuire, Jr., Madeline Taylor, and one great-granddaughter Roselynn Jaymes Holland. of Branch, Kathleen McGuire and husband Tim McGuire of Fort Smith, Julie French and husband Steve French of Beaverton, Mich., Susan Taylor and husband Rick Taylor of Lavaca one son, David McMahon, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Ann McMahon four daughters, Mary Lynn Holland and husband Marvin Holland, Jr. He was a connector of people, a collaborator in projects, and a collector of friends. He eagerly served God, his family and his fellow man. He celebrated imagination, and worked to develop his innovative ideas. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, and a follower and patron of Subiaco Abbey.ĭavid was a man of vision and integrity. He was the owner of Belle Point Beverages, Inc. He was born Main Clarksville to Donald James and Marguerite Dixon Tyson McMahon. He received excellent care locally and at Cleveland Clinic. died Madue to complications of mitral valve failure.
